WELCOME TO British Pacific Cattery - the sister site of www.minuet-kitten.com. Here you can see gorgeous British Shorthair Kittens with round faces, big cheeks, soft velvety coats, and fantastic personalities, as well as dwarf English Muffin kittens.
We are TICA registered cattery (ID 40652) and we breed British Shorthair Kittens (BSH) as well as their dwarf variation - English Muffins, and also Minuet Kittens - those little short dwarf Munchkins. See our available Minuet kittens (Munchkins) by clicking here.
IN OUR CATTERY We breed two breeds - Minuets and British shorthair. They both come in a short legs and regular legs vaRiation. These two breeds are in fact cousins.
- BSH were created by breeding a Persian cat with a British street cat.
- Minuets were created by breeding a Persian cat with a Munchkin. (Spontaneous genetic mutation of street cat with short legs.)
In our websites you can see two pages of Minuet (formerly Napoleon) kittens. 50% of Minuets are born with short legs - STANDARD and 50% are born with regular legs (nonstandard).
British SH kittens website shows - one page of regular BSH and one page of shoort legs BSH - little dwarfs, named English Muffins. (Those are not yet registerd with TICA).
Most of the people are interested in the short legged kittens - English Muffins or STANDARD Minuets. Those are very cute dwarfs and they cannot jump on your counter or kitchen table but they are really good climbers.
All of our adult breeders have excellent pedigrees and health. Our goal is to produce healthy, and loving kittens with warm personalities which you can welcome in your home as new family members.
Note: We are receiving a high number of MESSAGES, emails, texts, phone calls and inquiries lately. Many of them come from KIDS - 12-15 years old girls. For the best communication, please fill out our SHORT APPLICATION first, so that we have basic information about the home you can offer to our kitten. NOTHING HAPPENS WITHOUT THE application. 100% off submitted Applications will be answered.
Please do not send us short texts or messages without a name or phone No, asking : “How much is a kitten?” “Is the gray one ? “Do you ship?” Without the Application those will most likely not be answered. Thank you for your understanding ! We just get too many of those without knowing WHO IS ASKING.

In the past some people were concern about the health of these short legged cats.
Dr. Solveig Pflueger, TICA’S chief geneticist, found out during 10 years of research that there are no health problems or complications connected with cats short legs gene, that these Munchkin kittens are totally healthy.
Just the oposit is true - because these are cross between two breeds, there is no inbreeding involved and these kittens are very healthy.
